DESIGN STORY
A Flower Built Around Its Center
A white chrysanthemum opens through layer after layer of narrow petals, each one extending outward from a dense, concentrated center.
Luo translates that radial structure into metal rather than copying the flower petal by petal. Fine hand-shaped lines gather tightly near the middle before opening into overlapping layers, preserving the sense of a flower expanding outward.
At the center, a clustered pearl-look detail replaces the natural flower core, creating a softer point of contrast against the surrounding metallic structure.

FORM & RHYTHM
From the Center Outward
The composition begins with a compact circular center and expands through multiple layers of narrow petals.
Within each petal, fine lines travel outward in close parallel paths before gathering again along the edge. As the layers overlap, some areas become denser while others remain open, allowing light and the surface beneath the brooch to become part of the composition.
Small differences in curve, spacing and direction remain visible throughout the flower, keeping the radial structure balanced without becoming mechanically uniform.

MADE TO BE WORN
A Flower Across the Lapel
At 65 × 65 mm, the brooch creates a pronounced floral focal point on a jacket, coat or dress.
The layered petals give the piece depth from the front, while changing angles reveal the spaces between individual lines and overlapping forms. Silver creates a cooler, quieter expression; gold brings greater warmth and contrast to the same structure.
As the wearer moves, light travels across the radiating petals and clustered center, allowing the flower to appear slightly different from every direction.
Beauty is felt.
