DESIGN STORY
A Leaf Opening Like a Fan
A ginkgo leaf opens from a narrow stem into a broad fan, its fine veins spreading outward in a clear radial rhythm.
Dan translates that structure into metal through a series of hand-shaped lines, preserving the openness and movement of the leaf rather than reproducing its surface literally.
Above the leaf, a pearl-look accent introduces a single rounded form against the fine linear structure below, creating a quiet contrast between softness and line.

FORM & RHYTHM
Lines Opening Outward
The composition begins at a concentrated central point and expands outward through fine radiating lines.
Each line follows the direction of a ginkgo vein before gathering into the softly irregular outer edge. The open construction leaves visible space between the strands, allowing the leaf to remain light and transparent rather than becoming a solid surface.
Small variations in spacing and curve reveal the hand-shaped construction and prevent the fan-like silhouette from feeling mechanically symmetrical.

MADE TO BE WORN
A Leaf in Motion
At 15 × 15 mm, the ginkgo-inspired form sits lightly beneath the ear while remaining open enough to move naturally with the wearer.
The pearl-look accent creates a soft focal point above the leaf, while the radiating wire structure catches changing light from different directions.
As the earring moves, the relationship between line, open space and the edge of the leaf shifts subtly from one angle to the next.
Beauty is felt.
